JBC B.IRON: Wireless Soldering for Greater Flexibility in Electronics Manufacturing, Development, and Service

With the B.IRON series, JBC is introducing wireless soldering stations for professional electronics applications. These battery-powered systems combine maximum freedom of movement with high precision and digital process control.

The Next Generation of Hand Soldering

With the new B.IRON series, JBC Tools presents a logical evolution of modern hand soldering technology. For the first time, these battery-powered soldering stations enable professional, precise, and high-performance soldering without the constraints of cables, thereby opening up new possibilities for electronics manufacturing, development, repair, and rework. Users benefit from significantly greater freedom of movement, particularly when working on miniaturized electronic assemblies, under microscopes, or in hard-to-reach areas. At the same time, the temperature stability, precision, and process control characteristic of JBC are maintained.

Maximum freedom of movement with full process control

The B.IRON platform was developed to completely eliminate the constraints of cables. The ergonomic design of the tools brings the hand closer to the solder joint, improves control, and reduces fatigue during extended use. This can significantly improve work quality, particularly during high-precision soldering processes on SMD components, fine-pitch applications, or rework tasks. Temperature parameters, battery status, and other system settings can be monitored and configured via the B.IRON app or a mobile device. Communication takes place via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), allowing users to digitally control their soldering processes at any time.

Different Tools for Different Applications

The B.IRON product family includes a variety of tools designed to meet different needs:

The most powerful model, the B.500, can handle up to 500 medium-sized SMD solder joints per battery charge and was developed specifically for professional production use. The tool delivers a peak power of 24 watts and operates within a temperature range of 100 °C to 450 °C.

Continuous operation without interruptions

For industrial use, JBC offers smart features designed to maximize productivity. The integrated charging station automatically charges the tool while it is stored in the holder. At the same time, Hibernation mode protects the soldering tip from oxidation and extends its service life. A quick-change system for cartridges also allows for the safe replacement of soldering tips in just a few seconds. This reduces downtime and supports an efficient workflow in manufacturing, laboratories, and service operations.

Added Value for Electronics Manufacturing, Development, and Service

The B.IRON cordless soldering stations are particularly well-suited for R&D departments, repair workstations, prototyping, field service, and production-related rework processes. By combining freedom of movement, precision, and digital control, users can increase their productivity while improving the quality of manual soldering work. With the B.IRON series, JBC demonstrates how modern hand soldering technology can meet the electronics industry’s growing demands for flexibility, ergonomics, and process reliability.
